Vital Proteins of Franklin, IL, is recalling nearly 60,000 canisters of their brand of Collagen Peptides because of potential foreign material contamination, specifically pieces of a broken plastic lid. Livewell Collagen Peptides
According to the recall posted by the FDA, the recall was initiated on April 21, 2023, and is ongoing.
The products were distributed to retail locations in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Puerto Rico. The product was also sold online by a consignee.
Consumers who purchased the recalled product should immediately dispose of it and not consume it.
